The Hillsborough Animal Health Foundation is doing well this year. We have a very active and dedicated Board of Directors. We have board meetings on the second Wednesday of every month and all members are welcome to attend. We are currently working on the revamping our focus and trying to be more involved in the community.
Our Pet Memorial Card program is still very popular. Clients with deceased pets are very impressed when they receive one of these very professional sympathy cards indicating your donation to the Foundation in memory of their pet. More cards can be ordered from the Foundation at $10.00 each. We are also in the process of sending out our Hurricane Preparedness brochures. We have just concluded our annual Kids ‘N Pets Photo Contest and the entries will be judged soon. The winning photos will be on display at the Main Library.
We thank all of our members for their continued support. If you have any questions regarding the Foundation, you may contact us through our website at hahf.org or call (813) 221-4804.

We had our annual Rays Baseball social at Tropicana field was on Sunday June 19th. This year the Rays played a great game against the Florida Marlins with the Rays winning. We had an outstanding turn out this year filling the Captain Morgan deck to capacity. All 80 tickets were 100% free for our paid members and their families to come see the game and enjoy food and beverages. This social event was compliments of the HCVMS, Elanco pharmaceuticals, and Webster Veterinary Supply companies. We plan on continuing this excellent annual tradition next summer. Keep your 2012 calendars open so you too can enjoy this wonderful social next year!

We are in a critical time for Hillsborough County ordinances. This year we have handled issues regarding animal tetering, rabies tags and associated fees, and the community cats. We welcome any members of the veterinary community to speak at the monthly meetings which meet on the second wednesday of the month. If you need further information regarding the AAC or the ordinances in review, please do not hesitate to contact me at mhaworth@pobox.com .
